Jazz

1) JAZZ, as in "New Orleans, home of . . . !" I am referring to the infectiously rhythmic Dixieland music which the black musicians of the New Orleans area originated.
2) THE JAZZ, from that period in the 70s when New Orleans was so proud of having its own NBA team. The New Orleans Jazz was a sorry organization, but they did sport an inspired name. I always wondered how that name could be transported to Utah, of all places. Jazz and Mormonism seem so contradictory. Why would Utah even want to keep a team nickname that can only refer to New Orleans?
